I greatly appreciate it. I lost a brother to drug addiction about 15 years ago. Little question that it runs in my family. Little question that as families struggle to help a loved one in that predicament, enabling happens. Mainly because these problems don't come with user manuals. What works with one addict can fail with another. You grope your way through. My family in the end had to cut my brother off until he finally agreed to get help - if you ask me that trauma contributed mightily to the start of my mom's failing health.

On this, Char-Cav is a small minded ignoramus, and people like him actually greatly contribute to the problem. These are the kinds of jackasses who allowed mental and psychological health problems to be vilified and more or less untreated all through human history, until just the last half century or so.
